Group Sessions

❖ GROUP SESSIONS

Group sessions at CCAW provide a safe space to people with similar experiences to come together and act as a support network for each other. Both therapeutic and cathartic in nature, these group sessions allow adolescents and children to learn from and with each other in the presence and guidance of a trained therapist.

CCAW has the following group sessions:

The Social Skills Groups at CCAW are designed to help children and adolescents develop essential social communication skills in a supportive and interactive environment. Through creative activities like art, music, movement, and play, the group provides participants with opportunities to learn, practice, and refine their social skills. These sessions aim to foster a deeper understanding of social interactions, improve peer relationships, and build confidence in real-world settings.

Current Age Groups:

  • 4-6 years (for children with Autism)
  • 7-11 years (for children with social communication challenges)
  • 9-12 years (for children with ADHD and behavioral challenges)

1. For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD):

With the intention of creating a safe, enriching, enjoyable and empowering experience for children, CCAW recently started with Summer Camps for children on the spectrum between the age of 4-6 years. The camp focuses on facilitating children in having fun and simultaneously work on their individual goals thereby fostering growth and learning together.

Our camp is designed with a focus on providing a structured yet flexible environment. We emphasize
individualized support, recognizing that each child has their own strengths and challenges. Through a range of well planned activities, we aim to enhance social skills, communication, and sensory integration, all while promoting a sense of independence.

It's a space for teenagers with Mood Disorders to come together. The non-judgmental space created by trained mental health care professionals allows the participants to interact with a similar clan of people, share personal experiences without hesitation, have fun and gain support from each other. The  aim is for everyone to feel belonged and how they are not alone in the journey of mental health. Learning from experiences provides each one an opportunity to grow through what they are going through!
