Training Programs and Workshops

❖ TRAINING PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS
1. HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN (HSSH):

HSSH is an autism awareness and early intervention service facilitation program for Play Schools’ Teachers all over Delhi/NCR. The program entails educating and training teachers to identify early signs of autism and other related conditions and empowering the teachers by providing them with the tools that they need to deal with the challenges faced by them with children in a play school set up.

The program is divided into 2 parts:

a) An initial awareness workshop for teachers –  It is a free of cost workshop that aims to create awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related conditions, making teachers aware of the red flags in children and how to identify them, and provide teachers with some general techniques and strategies that they can use with these children.

b) Skill Training of Teachers and Provision of Individualised Plan for children who need intervention–  This is a paid plan wherein a team of RCI certified special educator and a psychologist from CCAW visit the school to observe children and provide individualized plans for children that corresponds to the school’s curriculum and is easy to carry out within a classroom setting. In addition, Skill Training sessions are also provided to teachers so that the school becomes self-sustained and teachers are able to continue providing intervention to the kids even when the program has ended.

Till now, CCAW has successfully conducted the free awareness workshop in 15 schools. CCAW has also been able to collaborate with 2 branches of an IB School, successfully conducting the Teacher Training Program in one of the schools and is on its way in conducting the teacher training program in the other school.

EmoAid, the community mental health wing of CCAW, in collaboration with EFT MRA India provides training for International Certification in EFT Levels 1 & 2. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. Based on the principles of Energy Psychology, it brings together the ancient wisdom of the East about the energy of the body and modern psychology and neurology. It is a clinically proven technique used by therapists across the world to work on various psychological and emotional issues, experience relaxation and promote healing. Successfully used to treat PTSD, it is a highly effective technique to work on and resolve traumas experienced by the clients. It can also be used as a self help tool by therapists.

EFT Tapping helps us tune in to the negative patterns that we form around our uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or troubling memories. It can be used to work on a range of issues including emotional concerns such as stress, anxiety, depressive symptoms as well as working on phobias, beliefs and troubling memories.
